Please click here to fill in a online triage form, for all appointments, if you are unable to complete this form you can call the surgery to book an appointment.

To request an urgent appointment for the same day (Monday to Friday):

  • Use our online form above between 8.00am and 12 noon Monday to Friday. Please note that if you telephone us, we will take you through the same process and complete the form over the phone, which is likely to take longer.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with and pass the information to a suitably trained member of staff to assess.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you. We may refer you to another NHS service if appropriate. You will not be offered an appointment at the time of your call but we will contact you and offer you an appointment the same day if the clinician has assessed your need as urgent.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

We offer pre-bookable Saturday appointments, every 6 weeks at Narborough Road Surgery and most other Saturdays at other health centres and surgeries within Leicester City. Please ask our receptionist for more details.

Observers or students maybe present in your appointment, if you do not wish for them to be present please let the Doctor know before consultation.

Our receptionists are usually the first point of contact and are here to help you.  They have alot of information to hand and in most cases will be able to help with your enquiry, ensuring you see the most appropriate clinician.  Nonetheless, it is your right to request to talk only to the doctor.  Anything that is discussed with the receptionists or any other member of the team is treated in strict confidence.  You have a right to be treated courteously,  and our receptionists also have a right to be treated courteously by you.  Please respect the privacy of other patients by standing well back from the reception desk until your turn.

Our Doctors typically see four patients at the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit.  For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible.  However, we can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend the practice. The Practice will only do a homevisit if your address is within our catchment area.  Please ring the main switchboard before 10 am to arrange a visit.  Please be prepared to tell the receptionist about your condition so we can visit the most urgent cases first.  The doctor may wish to speak with you to see if it would be better for you to come to the surgery to be seen immediately.  Home visits are intended for the very disabled housebound ill patients.

If, before your appointment, you no longer need to see the doctor, then please ring the practice to let us know. We will then be able to offer your slot to another patient.
